About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Operations Coordinator to join our team in the heart of Te Waipounamu. This is a dynamic role that blends operational logistics, team coordination, and guest service delivery in a world-renowned adventure tourism environment.
You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operation of our glacier guiding experiences, coordinating logistics from our base, and supporting our commitment to safety, sustainability, and cultural storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily guiding operations from Te Ao Marama Glacier Base
Adjust trip schedules and logistics in response to weather, guide availability, and operational needs
Liaise with pilots, guides, and base staff to ensure seamless communication and safe execution of trips
Manage and update guiding rosters, incorporating training plans and fatigue management
Monitor trip capacities and guide utilisation to support operational efficiency and financial planning
Assist with monthly business reviews and contribute to strategic planning
Support compliance with safety procedures, incident reporting, and operational policies
Collaborate on sustainability initiatives and uphold the Tiaki Promise
Provide exceptional customer service and assist with guest logistics
Participate in cultural development and promote Ngāi Tahu values
Qualifications & Experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in service or tourism operations, including at least 2 years coordinating daily logistics and team schedules in an adventure tourism or glacier guiding environment
Tertiary qualification in tourism, business, logistics, or environmental science (or related field)
PHEC or equivalent first aid certification
Full NZ driver's license preferred
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Familiarity with outdoor safety, hazard management, and cultural storytelling (e.g., te reo Māori)

Maintain and repair jet boats, ensuring they meet maritime and aviation standards.

What We're Looking For:

Experienced in use of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Practical experience in deployment of RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) philosophy (desirable).
Strong experience in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of marine combustion engines and vehicles.
Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical drawings.
Familiarity with asset management software (advantageous).

We are looking for 3 x Calf Rearer's to join our whānau for the calving season Mid July through to Mid October. Farm Pahi and Farm Hāmua are located in Eyrewell Forest on Poyntz Road, North Canterbury.
Our Ngāi Tahu Farm Pahi and Hamua are 282 and 310 hectares with 800 and 1020 milking cows and have a team of five full time Kaimahi (employees) plus additional casual support when required.
These positions offer the opportunity to be a part of team that supports the sustainable growth and protection of our tribal pūtea and settlement assets for future generations. "Mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei (for us and our children after us)."
Key responsibilities include:
Calf Rearing: Feed all heifer replacement calves, beef calves, and bobby calves according to prescribed protocols.
Hygiene and Health: Maintain high standards of hygiene in calf sheds, including regular cleaning and disinfection.
Animal Welfare: Ensure the health of calves through proper feeding, watering, and medical treatment.
Team Support: Assist with feeding and other calf-related tasks as needed.
Health & Safety: Assist in identifying workplace hazards and developing effective safety controls

The Business Support Lead will coordinate operations for the General Manager - Farming & Forestry, providing administration, communication, and stakeholder engagement. Due to retirement, we have a position for a kaiako kaiārahi at Te Pārekereke o Te Kī, one of five early childhood centres that make up the Otago University Childcare Association.
Te Pārekereke o Te Kī was an initiative founded by Kāi Tahu and supported by the OUCA as a place where te reo me ōna tikanga Māori drives the curriculum and is strengthened within a bilingual whānau setting. Centre whānau choose Te Pārekereke o Te Kī as a place that supports their whole whānau commitment to te reo and tikanga Māori. We have about 30 children attending the centre daily and provide ratios of 1:4 for pēpi and 1:8 for nohinohi.
The kaiako kaiārahi is responsible for leading the team of 7 qualified kaiako. They implement the philosophy and nurture relationships with children, whānau and the community. The kaiako kaiārahi is supported by the OUCA manager, administrator and head teachers of the four other centres.
We are looking for a kaiako kaiārahi who:
Has a high level of fluency in and is passionate about te reo me ōna tikanga Māori
Has experience in supporting the growth of te reo Māori
Has experience in a leadership position
Has a professional commitment to the provision of high-quality early childhood education
Is an early childhood qualified and registered teacher (or is prepared to complete the training).
We provide full pay parity (head teacher rate: $101,120) and 10+ hours a week of non-contact. The OUCA is part of the ECE Collective Agreement.

We are looking for an experienced Tractor Driver and Fencer General to join our dynamic and high-performing team in Culverden, where you'll be working on a 770ha irrigated platform, finishing approximately 4000hd of beef cattle annually and grazing 1500 replacements. As part of our team of four, you'll play a key role in operating and maintaining tractors and other farm equipment to carry out a range of tasks, including fence repair and maintenance. In addition, you'll be responsible for general tractor work, such as feeding out and mowing paddocks and operating pivots, while also assisting with all aspects of stock management. As a Seafood Process Worker, you will undertake seafood export processing activities in accordance with the plant's standard operating procedures, quality specifications, and compliance standards. This role contributes to the sustainable management of fisheries assets, supporting the growth and protection of tribal pūtea and settlement assets for future generations.

Handling Product: Oversee, uplift, transfer, and deliver products; maintain product integrity; handle live lobster and other aquatic species with care.
