Based full-time in Waimate, this is a rewarding role for someone who loves systems, problem-solving and enabling others to shine.

We are looking for 3 x Calf Rearer's to join our whānau for the calving season Mid July through to Mid October. Farm Pahi and Farm Hāmua are located in Eyrewell Forest on Poyntz Road, North Canterbury.
Our Ngāi Tahu Farm Pahi and Hamua are 282 and 310 hectares with 800 and 1020 milking cows and have a team of five full time Kaimahi (employees) plus additional casual support when required.
These positions offer the opportunity to be a part of team that supports the sustainable growth and protection of our tribal pūtea and settlement assets for future generations. "Mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei (for us and our children after us)."
Key responsibilities include:
Calf Rearing: Feed all heifer replacement calves, beef calves, and bobby calves according to prescribed protocols.
Hygiene and Health: Maintain high standards of hygiene in calf sheds, including regular cleaning and disinfection.
Animal Welfare: Ensure the health of calves through proper feeding, watering, and medical treatment.
Team Support: Assist with feeding and other calf-related tasks as needed.
Health & Safety: Assist in identifying workplace hazards and developing effective safety controls

The Business Support Lead will coordinate operations for the General Manager - Farming & Forestry, providing administration, communication, and stakeholder engagement. This role supports the sustainable management of farming practices, contributing to the growth and protection of tribal assets for future generations.
Key Responsibilities - Ngā Kawenga Takohanga
Executive Support: Manage workflow, diary, correspondence, and travel for the GM and Lead team. Assist with projects, events, and high-level executive support. Manage electronic files and folder permissions. Support reporting and KPI tracking.
Continuous Improvement: Oversee activities for operational improvement. Implement improved systems and processes. Identify and implement workflow improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with key stakeholders. Coordinate hui and field trips. Model leadership and cultural values. Encourage cultural confidence and professional development.
Communication: Support internal communications. Assist or lead as required to develop communication, marketing, and PR strategies. Manage social media and app postings. Strengthen and protect NTF's brand.

Ka Tuku Lodge is nestled among the native forest at the confluence of the Hollyford and Pyke Rivers and is a happy sight for guests after a long day out exploring. As a hosting "team", you'll be responsible for providing a high-end memorable lodge experience.

Ngāi Tahu Tourism is looking for a passionate and experienced Operations Manager to join the team at Hukafalls Jet - a world-renowned attraction delivering thrilling jet boat rides to the base of the spectacular Huka Falls.
This is a unique opportunity to combine operational leadership, cultural engagement, and customer excellence in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you'll work alongside the Business Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Hukafalls Jet. You'll oversee jet boat operations, supervise and support the wider team, and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer experiences. You'll also serve as a back-up Jet Boat Driver when required.
This role is hands-on and diverse, covering everything from health and safety, team development, and customer service to system management, sustainability, and cultural leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead jet boat operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and engaging commentary
Support and coach kaimahi through regular performance discussions and development plans
Champion Ngāi Tahu values and foster a high-performing, culturally confident team
Oversee booking systems (IBIS), financial reconciliations, and vendor management
Manage social media content in collaboration with the Social Media Manager
Drive sustainability initiatives and promote the Tiaki Promise
Lead recruitment, induction, and training, including "Train the Trainer" programmes
Ensure excellence in customer service, retail presentation, and upselling
Maintain high standards in health and safety, hazard management, and reporting
What We're Looking For
4+ years' experience managing a team in a dynamic environment
Experience in training, coaching, and performance management
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word
Core accounting knowledge and familiarity with booking systems
Qualified Jet Boat Driver (or willing to become one)
Full driver's licence
Background in tourism, travel, hospitality, or retail preferred
A commitment to Ngāi Tahu values and eagerness to grow in te reo Māori and tikanga

Ngāi Tahu Tourism is seeking a confident, creative, and strategically minded Social Media Coordinator to help drive the digital presence of two unique visitor experiences - the All Blacks Experience and the National Kiwi Hatchery.
This is a multi-brand, content-focused role that combines strategic planning, content creation, and community engagement. You'll be responsible for delivering compelling, on-brand content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, aligning with each brand's goals, voice, and kaupapa.
A passion for storytelling and sharing our experiences with people from all over the world is essential — this role plays a key part in connecting audiences to the cultural, conservation, and visitor experiences that make these brands so special.
This position is 24 hours per week and split across both brands:
All Blacks Experience (Auckland) - 16 hours per week
National Kiwi Hatchery (Rotorua) - 8 hours per week

Located at SkyCity Precinct, the All Blacks Experience is an immersive, interactive journey through the legacy of New Zealand's national rugby teams - the All Blacks, Black Ferns, and other Teams in Black. More than a sporting attraction, it's a powerful expression of culture and identity, welcoming international visitors and locals alike to connect with Aotearoa through the lens of rugby, storytelling, and tradition.
National Kiwi Hatchery - Rotorua
The National Kiwi Hatchery is the most successful kiwi hatching and rearing facility in the world. Based in Rotorua, The Hatchery plays a critical role in kiwi conservation, partnering with DOC and iwi to protect and grow the population of this taonga species. Revenue from visitation, sponsorship, and donations directly supports its conservation mahi, and educational tours offer a powerful platform to share the importance of biodiversity and kaitiakitanga with visitors of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a content calendar for both brands, aligned with key campaigns and seasonal moments.
Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Schedule content via Meta Business Suite and other relevant platforms.
Ensure content at National Kiwi Hatchery complies with animal welfare best practices and National Kiwi Advocacy Guidelines.
Adhere to New Zealand Rugby (NZR) approval processes when creating content featuring players or likenesses at the All Blacks Experience.
Engage with audiences through DMs, comments, and community management in a timely and professional manner.
Support marketing team with influencer visits, VIP events, and content capture coordination.
What We're Looking For
A portfolio or examples of previous social media work (including links or files in your application).
Minimum 2 years' experience in social media coordination or digital content creation.
Experience using editing and scheduling tools such as CapCut, Canva, and Meta Business Suite.
An understanding of platform-specific trends, audience behaviours, and content best practices.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage content across two very different brand tones.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote teams.
Alignment with Ngāi Tahu values, and a willingness to engage with te reo Māori and our cultural kaupapa.
