AGM Awards	Our first AGM Awards - held the evening of 30 October 2010 - to celebrate the achievements of our Runaka members!
Aunt Jeans 90th	On May 21st, on a beautiful, sunny Autumn day the whare rang to the sound of "Happy Birthday To You" and the whanau came from near and far to celebrate Aunt Jean Duff's 90th birthday.

Working Bee Jan2011	The rain it rained! But eventually the sun put in a (weak) appearance and thanks to a great crew from Moana House on the Saturday, and a double contingent from the Community Work Programme on the Sunday, the grounds are looking good!

Treaty Festival 2011	The Kai Tahu Treaty Festival was again a great success! The weather was fantastic, though a little hotter than it needed to be, and the sunscreen came in very handy! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped make the day so successful. Their assistance was a major factor in the smooth running of the day and I am humbled by those volunteers that came from the community to help us - their contribution was very much appreciated. I have received excellent feedback from across the community. The manaaki of Otakou was well demonstrated by the commitment and aroha shown through out a very long day. Xmas Party 2010	thanks to the weather gods, to Santa, to our energetic tamariki and to our cousins from Puke who came to share the day and left with the "Cup" - all captured on film by several enthusiastic photographers, young and... not quite as young. Thank you all for a wonderful day!!
