HMNZS Otago Visit
The HMNZS Otago made its first visit to Dunedin, arriving on the morning of Thursday 22nd July.
A welcoming ceremony was hosted by Dunedin City Council,
Otakou & Puketeraki Runaka and waiata support was provided by the tamariki of Te Mua Upoko ki Portobello.
This was an exceptional opportunity and all involved contributed to upholding the mana of the respective Runaka.
As seen below, the tug, Karetai assisted the Otago into her Birth, the koha from Otakou explained the origins of the name Otago.
